When we opened our office in Kansas City in 2015, we knew that we needed to become meaningful contributors to the growing entrepreneurial ecosystem there in order for us to be good long-term partners with our community. At that time there were so many good things going on that we knew we need to choose to do something unique. That’s why we chose to riff off of the University Venture Fund model that we had worked with in Utah.
